4th of July Korea-style

So, of course, the 4th of July is no big thing in Korea, it's just another day.  They didn't gain their independence on the 4th of July, but then again neither did the United States.  They simply decided to declare their intentions to the King of England on the 4th day of the 7th month in the year of our lord 1776 (the legal separation actually happened on July 2nd so take that! Everyone should have had Wednesday off!).  So, the 4th of July evolved into a spectacle in which displays of patriotism became expected of the citizens.  Well, that's what we say anyways.  What the 4th of July has actually evolved into is an excuse for people to take a day off work, get together with family and friends and get ridiculously drunk.

So, in tradition of that, my friends and I decided to go to Krazeburger, because it's the only place with burgers larger than 6 oz., and eat lots of french fries, a burger or two, and get a few beers.  We didn't get ridiculously drunk, but we did drink some, shot some pool, and ate good, greasy, artery clogging food.  I think we upheld the American 4th of July tradition just fine.

After that fun last night, today I did absolutely nothing.  Which I believe is also in accordance with one of America's great traditions, albeit a modern one, sloth.
